I am a Nudist

So who am I?

I’ve been a nudist for over 30 years. I got my first introduction when living in California back in the 80’s. It was a little harder back then to find a nude beach. No such thing as internet so mostly it was word of mouth, then asking locals in the area. I visited beaches up and down the coast from San Luis Obispo to San Diego. Finding them was a challenge but worth the effort.

Moving back home I knew there was a place on the North Shore. Growing up, there was a nudist camp in Kahuku so that’s where I started looking. It’s different asking Hawaii locals about nude beaches than it was asking people in Cali. The attitude here is a bit more reserved.

I finally discovered Polo Beach and frequented it a lot. I began to research other places and found Little Beach on Maui and Secrets on Kauai. My wife who was my girlfriend at the time, was accepting of my nudity and even participated. We hiked to Kalalau where we camped 5 days sans clothes.  She stopped being a nudist when our daughter was about 3 years old but still allows me to do what she calls “my thing”.

I go nude around the house when I’m alone or with my wife. We have a nice semi-private back yard to lay out in. When I’m traveling I like to try to visit the local nudist areas, preferably a beach.

My attitude towards nudism is not sexual in any way. Yes I’ll look, that’s natural and part of the voyeur in me. I’m also not bothered when others look at me. I find it to be an ego boost when they turn, smile and sometimes wave. I guess that’s the exhibitionist in me.

So, if you see me on the beach looking at you, just smile and wave because I will probably do the same.
